This independent municipal demonstration uses simple, cookieless activity counts to understand which public pages and documents are useful. It is not the official Town of Cusick website.
What activity is counted
We count public page loads, form link clicks and document link clicks by day and public content record. A click does not tell us whether a document finished downloading or an application was submitted. The analytics system does not store IP addresses, search terms, browser fingerprints, visitor IDs or browsing histories. It excludes signed-in staff, recognized automated tools, and browsers that signal Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
Aggregate counters are kept for 25 months in the OneStage shared reporting service. Brief, keyed network-address digests are used on the website for abuse limiting and expire after about a minute. Ordinary hosting security logs are separate from analytics and may contain connection information.
Staff accounts and documents
Staff sign-in uses WordPress login cookies. Staff publishing activity is recorded for administration and accountability. New documents uploaded through Town Website Manager stay in protected storage until authorized staff approve public release. Links to files already published on another website remain public. Town staff are responsible for reviewing documents before publication.
